Elegon... A tough fight comes to an end

Logged on a little later than usual last night and to my suprise fue wasnt online. oh no I thought. We kindve need our main tank and raid leader to have a decent crack at Elegon. Roshii assured us he would be on, finally fue logs on and apologises for being late. Lazy fue fue was snoring his head off!!

Anywho we finally get grouped up and head into MSV to have a few more cracks at Elegon.

Let me give you a run down of the fight. Elegon is a mechanical boss thats on a platform. Now when you stand on the platform you get a dmg increase buff and healing recieved buff, you also get a dmg taken stacking debuff which needs to be cleared every 9 or so stacks.

Furthermore he has a few different phases first one he spawns an add that you need to kill then when the add dies it explodes. You need to time this with Elegons HP so that you dont push him into the spark phase and having an add up, this will generally kill the raid.

In the spark phase dps need to be allocated to sparks which go to a pillar, after each spark dies a new one is summoned and gets faster each time. At about the 5th spark you leave it and let it hit the pillar till it activates. During this phase Elegon also spits out a circle aoe dmg that when it lands it spawns an add (this add hits like a fucking truck) so the sooner the pillars die the better. Once this is done you stack up kill the adds and rinse and repeat once more but after the second you got into his final phase.

The final phase is when the fight gets really interesting. The raid takes an aoe dmg every second as well as when you drop off your stacks you take more dmg. All raid and healing cds need to be saved for this and blust needs to be used as well. After all the mentioned we got down Elegon and to our dismay crap loot dropped ):

Two Heal? Are you for REAL?

So i must say i went in with a pretty bad attitude tonight. The last few weeks have been rough with our group raid wise, we have had trouble getting people online, yuda going overseas, bish with work and other RL stuff. Nabe quitting, although raked seems to be picking up the tanking role quite easily... Even with confusing Fue Fue leading the raid. (sometimes i wonder what that man is thinking at times lol).
Even level headed aza (oh wait lol he isnt level headed LOLOL) had a bit of an outburst in vent tonight before raid started.

So i log on and yes looks like all hands on deck...

"oh shit were is bish????"

so against my advice fue said we will try 2 healing its better than not raiding at all. I agree id rather get in and wipe a few times than call it quits and bang another raid week gone!

Anywho we decide to two heal. Just me (resto sham) and Yuda (OP PALLY) first boss goes down, phew i think at least we got one down, then the second falls, then the third, then the fourth. Suddenly i realise having a good healer by my side 2 healing isnt that impossible.

Although i must add it was extremely difficult with the first 2 bosses healing was intense and mana was a real issue but MEH theyre dead!!

Back to ELEGON. the cock block, although we seem to sorting out the phase transitions quite well and dps is really really good. We had Yig come on his DK tonight to dps and he did very well, fingers crossed we can go into tomorrow night and get some good progression down. After all we have gotten Elegon down to 45% with shit dps and hitting enrage.

Its funny with our group because it seems our balance is getting back to a good status having good dps and tanks. And yuda and me two healing seemed to have worked so maybe group 1 is BACK??

So....2 healing is very doable, so it looks like the 3rd healer might need to be as strong at dps as they are at healing if they want to raid. If not drop out the 3rd "weaker healer" and take an extra good dps after all, that extra dmg makes the fight go less in duration which funny enough makes life easier.

PS. only one other healer rolling on my gear is a super dooper bonus!!

After tonight things are starting to look up the sham/pally healing combo seems to work really well as my raid heals are quite good and pally tank heals are pretty unreal. Dont get me wrong id love a balance druid in the raid that could spot heal whilst dpsing but we cant have everything!

If things keep going this way on a weekly basis people will get geared up quickly and the bosses will start falling, Fue said he wants to try the new raid but in my opinion id rather drop Elegon and Emperor then bother with the new raid. Im not a fan of half doing raids then going to another place because a boss is "hard" or whatever excuse there may be.

Saturday? Finally time to Play!!

So last night the boys were at my house as usual tinkering with our cars. Ive got a series 2 r33 skyline, nate has a series 1 r33 skyline and aaron has an r32 gts4. Whilst getting the hands oily we said

"hey we should go to go karts tomorrow"

So we finish up with the cars go our seperate ways and ended up meeting at my place at 10am

We finally get to Aus Karts which is in port melbourne it was inside and looked like a good track but fuck we had to wait till 2pm. So instead we called another place Ace Karts which was outside and looked heaps better!! Right we were.

To kill time before karting we went to south warf dfo the damn nike factory gets me everytime lol!!

Go karting here we come!! Omg 21 karts going around the one track ended up a pretty good result I had the third fastest lap time, nate had the best and aaron come second so was a good outcome. God there were some slow people though was slightly annoying but oh well.

Anywho im now laying on the bed screwed from the day so far who knows what will happen tonight!!

Neglection, instead of Perfection

Got called up yesterday afternoon from Life be in it.
"hey steve its tracey from life be in it your game has been changed to 8.30"

Great! Another thursday ill be late for raid I hate letting the team down!!

Anywho messaged my mates they were all good with the bball change, and I messaged Nabe to tell Fue ill be about 45 minutes late.

Sweet all sorted... Well I thought

I rushed home from bball all sweaty contact lenses still in ready to raid.

Jump on the Pc get my authenticator out, log on...

Fues group isnt raiding tonight!

Fucking hell we cant catch a break at the moment. We have bish and yuda going missing so theres two healers gone, Nabe quitting so amazing tank gone (replaced by raked) and aza with shit net connection, group 1 is slowly deminishing.

Id be lying if I said im not jealous of group 2 which is slowly becoming the only group...

Well we will wait and see I guess on sunday. Grats on group 2 getting down 4 bosses and the loot looked sweet.
